Nazis in New York

German American Bund (Federation) parade on East 86th St., New York City, on the way to a rally at Madison Square Garden, on October 30, 1939.

The second World War had already started the month before, but the USA wouldn’t enter for another couple of years, so parades like this were still legally permitted. Even so, a close watch was kept on the activities of the German American Bund, whose members were Americans of German descent.
