Robert Falcon Scott in 1905, five years before he set off on his last expedition to Antarctica during which, after being beaten to the South Pole by Roald Amundsen‘s Norwegian expedition, he died in 1912.

  2. Mr Scott is one of my heroes. I love what he did and I am a Meteorologist. I could be stationed there and love it. (If I can take my cat) LOL

  3. Explorers like Scott seem utterly mad to me, but men like him mapped the world so that people like me can explore it from our armchairs!
